This Century Coronado has been in the Same family Since almost new . It has served 3 generations of the same family on lake Muskoka and was in need of some TLC . During the restoration I gained an appreciation for the level of sophistication of design and manufacture that Century boats had evolved to by 1959 . The Brass framework for the sliding hard top was a work of art . Stylish fiberglass flashing on the side were an offshoot of contemporary automotive styling and I’m sure an attempt to compete with evolving glass boats that were beginning to grab a significant share of the recreational boat market in the 1950’s
